- Just got a new phone or will be getting one soon and I’m still able to sign into BaronOne using my current phone for MFA
I got a new phone and no longer have access to my old one
- If you’ve already gotten your new phone and your old phone is no longer accessible, then you will need to submit a ticket to request your existing OneLogin Protect factor be removed from your account. Once that happens, you will then be able to set up MFA on your new device at your next login. Students can contact the student help desk for help with this process. Employees should contact submit a ticket using the link at the top of this page.
- If you use SMS text messages as your primary MFA factor, and your new phone has the same number as your old one, then there is nothing you need to do. Your SMS codes will follow your phone number to your new device.
If you’re planning to get a new phone soon and still have access to your current one for MFA, then you have a couple of options.
OneLogin SMS
- If you use SMS text messages as your primary MFA factor, and your new phone will have the same number as the old one, then there is nothing you need to do. Your SMS codes will follow your phone number to your new device.
OneLogin Protect App
- If you use OneLogin Protect, then it is recommended to set up OneLogin Protect on your new phone before erasing or trading in your old one. You can do that by clicking this link. Then sign in using your BaronOne credentials. Then click Security Factors on the left side. Now click Add Factor. Select OneLogin Protect. Then follow the prompts to set up OneLogin Protect using your new device. Once you’ve got it set up on your new device, it’s recommended to remove the old OneLogin Protect entry from your profile by clicking the Options button next to the older entry and clicking Remove. We also recommended to use this same procedure to add an additional back up MFA factor, such as OneLogin SMS, to your account. You can have more than one and it's always good to have a backup!
