print icon

If you have requested to be provided with a YubiKey USB device for the purposes of hardware authentication, the following guide is intended to walk you through initial setup. Prior to following these steps, you will want to make sure to have the device on hand. Provided is an image of what it looks like:

1. We will want to begin by logging into BaronOne, and then hover the mouse cursor over you name in the top right corner. Then select "Profile".

2. Next, we will want to select "Security Factors".

3. We will then want to select "Add Factor".

4. Then click on "USB Key".

5. We then want to click on this icon on the taskbar:

6. You will be asked on this screen to enter a PIN and then confirm it. We strongly advise that you use your employee ID number for this purpose.

7. After that, you will see the following screen. Put your finger on the "y" of the yubikey without any additional pressure, for about one second. You may then be asked to do it again, which is normal.

8. You will then be taken back to this screen automatically, meaning your key is successfully configured.

You now have successfully set up hardware MFA on your BaroneOne account. In order to use Hardware MFA, refer to these following steps.

1. Make sure your YubiKey is inserted into a USB slot on your device, facing up.

2. Enter your username and password as normal.

3. This is where you will enter the PIN from earlier. The window to do so may come up automatically, but if not you may need to click on this icon on the taskbar:

And then enter your pin:

4. On this screen here, place your finger gently on the "y" on the YubiKey while it is still inserted.

After successful authentication, you will be automatically logged in.
