Setting up MFA using SMS text message option

Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication greatly reduces potential security risks for your BaronOne account. Adding MFA also grants you the capability to reset your BaronOne password yourself in the event of a lockout. The following guide is intended to get you started with MFA via receiving a text message to your cell phone. This option comes in handy when you either do not have a smartphone or would prefer not to download an extra app like authenticator or OneLogin Protect.

1. Begin by verifying that your preferred cell phone number is linked to your BaronOne account. You will do so by logging in, and then clicking "profile" as you see in the following screenshot.

2. Make sure your correct cell phone number is entered into this field. If it is not, enter it and then click "save changes".

With that being completed, we can now move onto the SMS setup.

1. From your BaronOne portal page, hover over your name in the top right corner and click "Profile" as displayed in the following image.

2. Now click "Security Factors" on the left side.

3. Click "Add Factor".

4. Click "OneLogin SMS".

5. On the display listed here, enter the six-digit code that was just sent to your cell number via SMS text message, and click "Continue". If the code expires or does not work, click "Try Again" to send a different code.

6. After that, your Security Factors tab should have OneLogin SMS listed.

This final section will show you how to use SMS MFA to log into your BaronOne account.

1. In order to log in with SMS MFA, enter your username and password on BaronOne as you normally would.

2. You should then get the following screen. If your code gives you trouble for whatever reason or expires, click "Resend SMS code" to receive a new one.

3. Enter the code sent to your cell phone and click "Continue". You will then be logged into BaroneOne and can continue as normal from there.
